Home Care

Our home care service is provided to support children with end-stage cancer and/or HIV, who prefer to stay at home with their families during the final stages of their illnesses.

Admission Criteria

1. Children with advanced cancer where treatment is no longer viable.

2. Children living with HIV suffering from severe malnutrition, chronic diarrhea with poor prognosis.

3. Non-oncology patients will be assessed on a case by case basis for admission.

Our team focuses on pain and symptom control, aiming to ensure patients spend their last days with dignity. If required, the team also provides emotional, spiritual and practical support for patients and their families.

The home care service is currently provided from 3 satellite locations covering Jakarta and its immediate surrounding areas.

The service includes:


  • Nursing and medical care to manage patients' pain and symptoms.
  • Visits by a doctor when medical attention is required.
  • Medical prescriptions, when required.
  • Guidance to families on how to care for their loved ones at home.
  • If needed, loan of medical and nursing equipment such as wheelchairs and oxygen tanks can be made available.
  • Assisting patients and their families with the emotional and social aspects of coping with death, grief and loss.

Referrals & Admission Process

  • Upon receiving full documentation as required, patient's family will be contacted by our staff within 2 working days.
  • An assessment of the patient will be conducted by our team to determine suitability against our Admission Criteria, which can be conducted at the hospital ward or at patient's home.
  • If accepted for admission, and patient is directed to home care services, a primary nurse will be assigned to the patient and regular visits will be scheduled in accordance with the prescribed plan of care.
  • And once accepted as home care patients, the first visit by our team will be conducted within 3 working days.
